I have just returned from a blissful four day break in The Hague, Netherlands. The Hague is around 40 minutes to an hour on the train from Amsterdam, and is half an hour from the airport. It’s the third biggest city in the Netherlands, following Amsterdam (of course) and Rotterdam. The Hague is home to the Netherland’s parliament, and as such hosts many “important” buildings and museums (of which I visited none…).
Lately I just can’t stop thinking about getting on a plane and flying far, far away. For months now we’ve endured naff English weather, and for a year and a half, i’ve put up with eight million people swarming around me everyday, pollution knocking years off my life, and stress wrinkles forming on my forehead.
I have just returned from one of the best holidays i’ve ever been on. Rai and I packed our one suitcase (damn RyanAir and their insane baggage fees…) and headed off just over a week ago to the Canary Island, a place we knew could guarantee gorgeous weather mid-September.
